Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 25 July 2026
These terms explain how this website may be used and how enquiries about counselling, psychotherapy, EMDR and supervision are handled. If we decide to work together, the practical and professional arrangements for sessions will also be set out in a separate therapy or supervision agreement.
About this practice
This website is operated by Sue Cook, an experienced counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor practising at 39 Grosvenor Place, Bath, BA1 6BA and online.
Sue is a Fellow of the International Society of Psychotherapy and Counselling, a BACP Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist, a BACP Accredited Supervisor for individuals and groups, and an EMDR Qualified Practitioner.
Information on this website
The website provides general information about Sue’s practice and services. It is not medical advice, a diagnosis or a substitute for advice from an appropriate healthcare professional. Reading the website or sending an enquiry does not create a therapeutic relationship.
Reasonable care is taken to keep information accurate and current, but no website can cover every person’s circumstances. Please use the contact page if you would like to ask whether Sue’s service may be suitable for you.
Appointments and availability
Appointments are offered by agreement and are subject to availability. Sessions may take place in Bath or online. An introductory conversation gives both you and Sue an opportunity to consider whether working together feels appropriate.
Current session fees are shown on the fees page. Any concessionary arrangement, payment method, cancellation terms and frequency of sessions will be discussed before ongoing work begins and recorded in the relevant agreement.
Confidentiality and professional boundaries
Counselling, psychotherapy and supervision are confidential within the limits explained at the start of the work. There are circumstances in which confidentiality may need to be reviewed, including legal requirements, safeguarding concerns or a serious risk of harm. These limits will be explained in the relevant agreement and can be discussed before you decide to continue.
Sue works within the BACP Ethical Framework and maintains appropriate professional supervision.
Online sessions
If you choose online sessions, you are responsible for finding a private setting and using a suitable device and internet connection. Sue will explain the arrangements for technical interruptions and safe online working before sessions begin.

Unless otherwise stated, the written content and design of this website belong to Sue Cook or are used with permission. You may not reproduce substantial parts for commercial use without written permission.
